What does it mean to be concept 6 at CAPES?

The promotion of teaching and research in graduate programs is directly linked to the evaluation of these programs, which serves as a reference for other agencies and higher education institutions.
The evaluation is based mainly on the data collected by Capes, which annually evaluates the performance of the programs, providing detailed information that is considered one of the most important bases of global higher education. Grades 3 to 5 indicate classifications of "regular", "good" and "very good", while concepts 6 and 7 represent internationally recognized excellence, being accessible only for doctoral programs.
